It has been nearly a decade since Mystery Science Theater 3000 ended its adventure through the stars. Is is hard to believe it has been so long since so many of the incredibly humorous moments still resonate so well with me. In episode #820, the crew of the Satellite of Love were forced (as we were) to watch "Space Mutiny." Horrible but unintentionally hilarious for so many reasons, there was one running joke that topped it all. The "star" of the movie was Reb Brown, "famous" for playing Captain America in the 1970's. Long story short, he was given a series of macho, strong-man names one of which was Bolt Vanderhuge. Of course, vanderhuge.blogspot.com was taken so I had to settle for the second best name Gristle McThornbody. So welcome to the inaugural post of mcthornbody.blogspot.com where I will ocassionally post about video games, the football world, movies and TV, as well as anything else that may be of interest to very few.
On a final note, someone on YouTube was kind enough to collect every scene with Mike and the Robots calling out the names so if you can't watch the whole MST3K episode, at least watch this:
